thrifty, crafty, lucky
thrifty...
saw these at salvation army on half price wednesday. no matter that they barely fit jane's size or taste. as i stated on flickr, i'm gonna cram her into one of these if it kills me. i'll be sure to get photo documentation.
crafty...
currently drowning in a sea of decoupage...sorry for the not-so-great pic.
lucky...
jane lost her first tooth last night! we are especially excited because she is just a few months shy of her 9th birthday and it was looking like her younger brother might lose one first, which would not have been good.
also lucky because the very generous stephanie sent me these mugs which i am totally in love with. thank you so much, stephanie!
again lucky because john is home from his trip, safe and sound.
happy thursday, everyone!
I LOVE all those dresses...Memphis adores vintage dresses. She puts them on and has a smile from ear to ear. Then she twirls around and tells us that princesses always have beautiful dresses. You scored. Memphis lost her 2 front bottom teeth already. She 5 turning 6 in September. She actually got her first two bottom teeth when she was only 3 1/2 months old. We were shocked. I LOVE ALL THE work you have done. Wish I could go to Renegade!!!xoxox

let's talk about those dresses now - holy crap! that is a score. i want to see the photo so i can live vicariously through you. i don't think my jane would even try one on!
and look at all that decoupage candy! it is so beautiful lined up just so. wishing i could be at renegade....

Oh, Meg Rooks...
You've been so busy, lady! Good for you. I can't wait to meet you live and in person.
And that THIRD dress in the row?! They're all super cute, but THAT is the one. Use a shoe-horn if you have to. Force her into it and then make sure to have a camera close by.
xoxo

love the pile of goodies you have there. Do you have any more terry cloth zippered purses hanging around? I long ago missed my chance to buy one. I'm lame like that.

Meg, I love all three pics. The dresses are so sweet. You have been a decoupage machine - everything looks great. Congratulations to Jane!! Does she still believe in the Tooth Fairy or is it too late? xoxo Gritty

one day she will know how fabulous those dresses are. at 9 i would not have been caught dead in one of those. now, bury away. i think it is our secret wish to fit in those that make us want to see a little girl in one.

Hot damn! I was amazed when I saw the dresses, but the amount of work you're producing (in preparation for Renegade, right?) is INSANE!!! You're my craft idol this week.

Hey! Good to see you this morning! Those dresses are just killing me. The blue one, especially. Ack. I stopped by SA today on my home, and I think I found some of your leftovers. My kids are THRILLED with the wool "Annie" dress I found. And a few others for Addie - in a few years. ;)
And you appear to be SOO ready for Renegade. Rock on!
