more flowers

more flowers. these will be hanging from the ceiling at our school auction this saturday (much like blair's).
nothing but flowers here.
let's see what more interesting people are up to...
- just in case you haven't seen it yet, my friend emily was on martha stewart this week! she did a great job and looked adorable. made me a teensy jealous that she got to meet martha. (but mostly happy for her. like 98% happy and 2% jealous).
- "h is for home" just opened up shop. their vintage finds are way cool. i'm a new fan of vintage hornsea. made me wanty.
- heidi posted this video of ellen degeneres yesterday. made me really sad.
- marielle posted this fun video today. made me smile.
- i made a mosaic of some springy flickr favorites (see photo credits here). made me hopeful (even though snow is in the forecast).

Damn. That Ellen video made me really weepy. What is wrong with people? Thank you for posting that one -- it is an important one for everyone to watch.
Good luck with all those flowers. The auction is going to be beautiful, and your class projects are going to sell for a million bucks. xoxo
P.S. And thank you for including me with all those groovy spring Flickr images! What a great collection!

Thanks for posting the Ellen video----I had not even heard this. How sad.
I still have four more weeks of fundraising auction work to do... Congrats on your last week!

meg...these paper flowers are gorgeous...I love the colors...despite the dirty snow...your house must be light and airy with spring...by the way you are way wittier than martha stewart...I gave up watching her show...could not stand her lack of personality...love her crafts, gardening, cooking...all that...she just does not do well on tv...just my opinion...spring fever is in the air. miss you, con

The lead singer of Vampire Weekend looks like a very young John Cusack. Maybe it's just the haircut and sweater/collared shirt combo. He looks like every guy in my highschool circa 1980. That's a fun video!

your spring flickr collage makes me hopeful, too...even though it is all gloomy and yuck outside.
thanks for all the fab links. i just got a copy of vampire weekend from amanda this week. good stuff. and the ellen clip breaks my heart. it is unbelievable.

Meg, love those paper flowers. We made them for my neice's wedding reception in brown and black-- it was a November wedding, and it was GORGEOUS!

The Ellen video infuriates me more than moves me...I can't believe we're still in a place where people are so threatened by other people...no matter what the issue is...race,gender,sexual orientation. It makes me angry on top of sad.
On a more positive note...I live for your Flickr finds.
