phew

here's the art quilt i made with jane's 3rd grade class (here's another pic). the kids chose the fabric, cut out their designs, and let me know where they wanted it placed on the quilt (i monkeyed w/the layout a bit). then i sewed everything in place and quilted. it's a little wonky and holy hell quilting is a lot harder than i imagined. thanks for all the advice.
i've been sick for the last few days and am in "suck it up" mode due to several commitments (finishing this quilt was one). hopefully i'll be back to normal by monday.
hope everyone's having a great weekend!
xoxo
I so LOVE this!! Child/adult projects are so beautiful!! Good work you AND the 3rd graders!

It's so, so good. Our questionably decoupaged "reading bench" has a big crush on your excellent quilt! How big? Is that a mix of cotton & felt fabrics I spy? Details, please!

turned out so awesome!! :^D) the part of quilting that always stops me cold is hand-sewing the binding.
when you're out of suck-it-up mode, you should really give yourself a day off. :^*
(thanks for your comment re: the interview!! :^D))

Wow! Lucky class to have you to help. I've been looking for an idea for an end of the year class present for my son's teachers. Maybe this is a little too out of my ability range though. Love the color combinations!
