done painting

Img_0008
here's some evidence that i got something done this week. i finished painting jane's room today. tomorrow we are making the pilgrimage to ikea to get her a new bed (and maybe us, too). john and i got a new cotton mattress last year that didn't work w/our metal bed frame so we've been sleeping w/the mattress and box-spring on the floor for over a year now. i think having a real bed will help me feel like a grown-up (although i'm not sure that ikea counts as adult furniture). but you know what i mean.

blather!
have a great weekend!

i love that paint color.
and i feel like everyone i know is going to ikea soon or has been recently!
i am having some envy.
have fun!

we just made the ikea trip to get bunk beds for jack! :^)

if bedroom furniture makes one feel like a grown up, then i should get a bedside table instead of the pile of books that the clock resides on. i am not sure i want to be grown up, though. that is the problem.

the room looks great - i bet jane is excited! have fun at ikea.

how grown up for jane, none of that babyish hot pink ;). Dude are you going to the Stoughton Ikea in Ma? I'm gonna try and drag my family there tomorrow (sun)

looks great.
do you really want to grow up?

The walls look nice but I am so enjoying that chair. Color, shape and all.

So did it work? Does the new bed make you feel grown-up? J and I have had our mattress and box spring on the floor since we moved in to our house - 7 years ago now. I do dream of a bed but somehow it never seems to be a huge priority. Also, our plan is for J to make said bed, and you know how those plans get put off... and off and off.
