uh-oh

a good thrift store opened up nearby.

my friend had told me it was worth a visit and we were driving by just as they were opening this morning so we popped in. it was junkalicious, and really good prices. big boxes full of vintage kids books for 50 cents a piece. my kind of place. if you can get past the nice but slightly skeezy old guys who hang out there and nod toward your daughter and say "her daddy's gonna need to get himself a shotgun when she gets a bit older!"

(for you local folk, the place is called 'timeless treasures' - it's on forest ave next to the odd fellows hall)

Love that tin!

Holy crap. Love the moon fella. xoxo

lucky you. except for the creepy guys. why do people need to be like that?

Hi there Meg, y'know the kind of vintage books you always seem to find just don't seem to exist here in England!! It's soooo frustrating, and if I do happen to come across the odd one or two, they cost loads! It's not like I don't go looking, we have "thrift" shops here aplenty, here we call them charity shops. I guess it's something to do with America having produced more?? I dunno, sucks tho! x You didn't happen to visit England and clear us out did you???

Lucky you! (Minus the skeezer)

junkalicious....i love it. those are the best kind of thrifting spots. good finds!

Those words actually came out of a human's mouth? Good god!
Glad to see that you enjoyed NYC, and I loved your post about Creepy... I mean Crissy. From goth to dead head. Oy!

Ooooh, my husband works on Forest Ave - I can pretend to be a good wife and visit him at work then go shopping, hahaha!
