fabric sale booty
here's the booty from this year's salvation army fabric sale, color coordinated for your viewing pleasure...

this sale can be a bit overwhelming, what with all the older women shoving you and cutting in line and pretending they are old and feeble and don't know what they're doing (but they're NOT and they DO). i vowed to be less intimidated by them this year (but i was still a little scared).
and if you're a fan of tom waits, you might enjoy this.
that's all i got.
have a great weekend!

seriously?! you're killing me here meg. i might just have to move to portland, just for the thrifting. major fabric envy here...happy friday!

Ooooooeeeee, girl, you did well. Those cute and fearsome elderly ladies starting rooting through my bags last year. Yowzer. I gave it a miss this year but I'll admit that this here fabric slut is feeling a bit envious. Great haul! Happy Mothers Day! xoxo

I know that fabric is good and all but I have just seen the Waits press conference and I am a happier person because of it. I love that man.
Thanks for the post!

Thanks for the link to the press conference. The mister and I got a kick out of it! But where did Tom's old man face go? His wrinkles and jowls are gone! How do all the famous people who were older than me when I was young, get younger while I'm getting older. It's annoying!

I have just the smallest piece of that bird fabric in a different colorway. I am way too scared to use since I only have a teeny bit! LOL
(And I have some serious love for that other yellow one in the same photo.)

Wow! Such wonderful fabrics. I am with you on liking the bright and cheery ones! You found some real gems. I know what you mean about the pushing. One lady tried to cut in front of me in line when I was caring my haul AND my baby. I indicated the line behind me and she gave me this wicked witch look. It was most amusing! I think you did great despite the pushy ladies! Happy sewing!
